Tuition classes in Birmingham

*Tuition classes will be held starting in March during the weekend for primary and secondary students, including GCSE re-sit classes and adult maths classes: GCSE & Functional Skills Maths. Lessons will be taught by qualified primary and secondary teachers held in a school classroom. The details of the lessons we will run are shown below:

Primary

KS2-From Year 2-Year 6

Separate classes will run according to the child's year group. This tuition lesson will be 2 hours per week focusing on maths and English. Separate Year 6 SATS lessons will run with preparation for the SATS Exams. Specific areas of exam practice will be addressed in order to boost the students' grades.

11 plus classes for King Edward Grammar Schools Entry

These classes will run with an experienced 11+ plus tutor with successful results in entering Year 5 students into their chosen Grammar school preference including private school exam entrance. Classes will be available for Year 4 and Year 5 students. It is advised due to the high competitive entry that smaller group classes are booked for the 11+ plus exams so students in order for students to receive personalised tutoring, 

Secondary Math's Tuition

KS3- Year 7-Year 9

Classes will be designated according to the students' year group and ability foundation or higher level. 

KS4- Year 10

Year 10 tuition classes will involve covering the Year 10 syllabus. The GCSE Year 10 sessions will focus on all the topics from Grade 1-5. Once completed students will complete exam style questions with revision material we provide.  It is recommended that students aim to cover the GCSE syllabus by September 2026 (allowing time for exam practice in Year 11). 

GCSE-Year 11 

Year 11 and GCSE re-sit students will be taught a combination of practicing exam papers and addressing exam style questions as well as key topics needed to boost or secure the students' grade. Personalised support will be given that are specific to each student, in order for students to achieve their grade.

Further Information

• Tuition classes for primary and secondary KS3 will involve Maths, Science and English by qualified teachers with a DBS.
• Standard group size will include from 3 to 6 students maximum. 
• Smaller group sizes are also available upon request.
• Limited amount of spaces are designated to each primary, secondary and GCSE class. Please register your interest in advance. If spaces are full no more slots will be allocated for the particular time given.

*Standard price £15.00 per hour (1 lesson per week).

*£12.50 for 2 hour lessons per week.

* Discounts available for 3 hour lessons per week or siblings/family member bookings.

Tuition Classes

A school will be hired for the tuition classes based in South Birmingham. 

• Sunday morning classes will run in Sparkhill, Ark Boulton Academy.
• Saturday morning classes will also run in Acocks Green/Solihull (starting at the end of March).
• Saturday afternoon classes based in North Birmingham will be held from April.

Parking information

Free on site parking is available for drop off and pick up of the students. On arrival parents/guardians of primary school children will need to drop and pick up their child at the school reception. Secondary students that are local or able to make their way home will need to confirm with us that they have given permission.
